An inefficient industry
Most moving companies ship containers filled to less than 60% of their capacity; some sources even suggest 50%, but this data is not readily available.
Shipping full containers (FCL) has traditionally been the preferred solution for transporting relocations, often for convenience and to meet client expectations regarding transit times. However, this also means that, overall, our industry could potentially eliminate 40-50% of the containers shipped daily.
At EasyGroupage, this efficiency is already a reality. Our containers achieve an average utilization rate exceeding 90%. Furthermore, for our most popular destinations, pre-departure waiting times are virtually non-existent.

The measure

Optimization
We systematically prioritize alternatives to reduce your shipment's emissions. This includes, of course, the shared container, but also recycling packaging materials whenever possible, and optimizing truck routes to minimize empty returns.
Compensation
Our team is currently working on integrating a carbon offsetting program. Soon, you will be able to select one of the 160 projects offered by our partner ClimateTrade to offset the entirety of your shipment's emissions. Stay tuned!
